As the days start to shorten and temps drop, we all know what that brings, DEER SEASON. Heath makes another trip to the Empire State to talk with good friend Jeremy Dicesare about blood tracking with hounds. Jeremy talks about what started his love for hounds and how this was an avenue to keep him in the woods after running season ended. Jeremy imported a Bavarian Mountain Hound from Slovakia. Heath and Jeremy talk about the strict breeding selection the BMH clubs have and how the club votes on whether a dog can be bred according to a set of tests the dogs have to pass. Heath references a lot of parallels between hunting hounds, his law enforcement deployments and animal recovery process. We are kicking off deer season right.
