Show Notes
On this episode of The Wisconsin Sportsman, Pierce is joined by Tim Brown, AKA The Bearded Uplander to dive into the world of upland hunting and conservation! Time is an Iowa-native and diehard upland bird hunter who spends his falls traveling the country with his dogs in pursuit of birds. In this episode, the guys dive into the rise and fall of the CRP program and how that is impacting modern soil health, water quality, and wildlife habitat. Tim shares his thoughts on how to pick a gun dog, the importance of educating farmers and consumers about good land practice over maximizing every square foot of property, the importance of public lands and local conservation initiatives, how many roosters a farm really needs, and using hunting as a tool for conservation and community building. All that and more in this week's episode!
