Show Notes
On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan is joined by Michigan bowhunter Jack Ruthruff to talk about hunting in the mitten. Jack lives in an area in Michigan that has heavier than normal hunting pressure on both private and public land. Jack explains that an excellent buck for that section of the state would be a 115-120" 3 year old buck, and that is his goal every year. In recent years, Jack has lost access to private ground due to owner ship change thus forcing him to focus more on public land. While scouting, before he broke his leg, he located a thick and nasty bedding area that runs parallel with a marsh leading up to a destination food source. Jack believes that with the right access paired with the right time of year, he will able get the job done a target caliber buck.
