Speaker 1 (00:29.678)

Range podcast is brought to you by Vapor Trail Archery, makers of the best bowstrings money can buy, originators of limb driven aero rest technology, and innovators of Stokerized Stabilizer systems. Welcome to the Range everybody. I'm your host Ricky Bruhle. I am here today with my co-host Jake Hollywood Iverson. What's up man? Back again. It's two for two. Another week. is a little weird. Another week. How's it feel?

again.

Speaker 2 (00:58.286)

Mmm. Good.

Yeah, it's Friday, So that's the best part.

That's why I'm sipping on that beer. Yeah, it's nice to be back chatting. I think it'll be fun to have guests back too. Yeah. Just right now, think we're still, I mean, again, we'll get into it, but if we could turn these cameras around, we still have a lot of work to do.

We did a lot though. We did a lot this last week. We're starting to get a better idea of how things are going to pan out. And that's what we want to mostly cover today on this episode. This one's kind of a little bit more for our local crowd here in the Minneapolis, St. Paul area and the outskirts areas. We want to talk a little bit about the Pro Shop, some things that are.

you know, on the daily things change, like the day we're gonna open, you know, all that kind of stuff. So we wanna get into that a little bit, answer some of those people's questions, and then we'll just talk a little bit about shiny objects, since, you know, going back with the old tradition of doing a shiny objects episode in between the big ones.

Speaker 2 (02:10.413)

It's been a long time. I'm ready for it.

It does rip right through it. It definitely feels feels kind of strange almost to be back Yeah doing podcasts, but thanks. Thanks for listening everybody You can find the video version of this episode on our YouTube vapor trail YouTube channel. So make sure you give it a like Subscribe and hit that bell so you can be up to date on all things archery And of course, if you're listening, please head on in give us a review and a rating

It would be greatly appreciated. It would really help help us out a ton. going back, we're literally just having, you know, texting back and forth with Rory, who's on vacation right now about some ideas that we have for what we want to do when we open. We, we did hire a pro shop manager who were very excited about. Yeah. So his name is Darrell Lego. he's, he's been around the space for quite some time.

I worked with him in the past when I was with Bo-Tech and I used to do some rep stuff or pro staff stuff at Cabela's and then he rep for Fred Bear at the time and then he's been on a few promotional staffs for some other companies. He's really big into fishing, big outdoorsman, all that kind of stuff, very knowledgeable. So we're super excited to bring him in. He'll be able to take a lot off of our plate so we can kind of focus on where we need to focus and then.

he'll be able to just run the Pro Shop like a champion.

Speaker 2 (03:42.318)

I sound so weird right now because I'm I'm almost scared of how well he's gonna do. Yeah, like, you know, obviously we want him to succeed and I know he'll succeed. I'm just thinking like, as we can see all the cars go by, we'll have, you know, much more, many more eyes on us. And I think if I were even in that position yet, I think.

He's after your job, man.

Speaker 2 (04:09.87)

I'd be able to sell out a good chunk of what we have. Yeah. And I, I know the fire behind Darrell, like, you know, saw his background on, you know, where he currently is too. It's like this guy can push numbers. And so, you know, I'm almost scared. He's to sell out the whole shop. So it's good though. But yeah, Darrell's super cool. Uh, very knowledgeable in the space. Um, I don't obviously know all of his tuning stuff, but, um, I mean,

Hell, he's here. We can do anything. So yeah, I'm excited. We're all excited for it. End of February is roughly what we're looking at early March, potentially mid March for him. But there's, yeah, there's like Rick said, we got, it's changing every day. It's kind of up in the air yet.

Yeah.

And the Pro Shop is, I mean, I don't know, it's farther, I guess, now than I would have thought, seeing it in the beginning of the week. You know, we got a lot of stuff moved around. We had some external help come in from some of our local Pro staff. Thank you, Mr. Frank Welsh. Really appreciate all that help. And now, speaking of Fred Bear, now we've got all kinds of product.

starting to show up already that we've ordered since the ETA show to fill the walls and so maybe you can shed a little bit of light on that.

Speaker 2 (05:34.934)

Yeah, Rory and I have been ASAP ordering everything. So as soon as they get our PO processed, we want it at the shop. Puts a little pressure on those companies. Some of them have had the PO for a month, but like Victory, just took in. I mean, that's not even all of it, but you know, a good chunk of our order there. We took in many dozens of arrows from them. Easton, I still have to rip.

PO off for that. We do have a good chunk yet. We are receiving, like Rick said, bear stuff. Only a third of it got here today. You know, even got some cool stools and a sign. And then we sent our order off to G5 Prime. We're going to start carrying G5 broadheads. Cody Beziner will be absolutely ecstatic about that. He's been on me for a while to bring those in.

It was nothing against them. We just had another company that I wanted to try and sell through to clear up some more space. So I'm excited to get the number one selling mechanical and fixed blade broadhead in our shop. know, being a primarily G5 and prime shop, it only makes sense for us to have it. A couple more forms are on order with different colors.

Speaking of of prime so we do have a form in in house and then we've got a couple of RVX pluses

Yep, so we currently have the Ridge Rock form that most everyone has seen. We put in a Morel color form and so that's like green. And then a black with, I believe we did do Morel scar limbs, just to jive it up a little bit. I love their Morel scars. Sweet. That's cool, yeah. And then the RVX Pluses, we have the 32 in Masioka Bottomlands. It looks disgusting, like in a good way.

Speaker 1 (07:35.074)

smiling.

Yeah, it's so sick. I love that thing the 34 plus. I believe is all black And we still have some RVX's and I think we still have a rev X yet Which anything with the Rs? I would say great bow. Yeah, I've loved all of them. So Let's see if I the forms

I just put an order in for a form in morale with black limbs this morning. for myself.

Expedition I know we mentioned it last podcast, but it's in stone we have the X light series five bows And I'm trying to remember now. I think we've got a mix of 32s and a 35 and I believe we did bring in a first generation of the X light the X light 31 Those things are pretty rock solid

Multiple different colorways and those we know for a fact. We won't see those until early March At least on the newer one that 32 But we're excited for those what else am I missing? Oh, we just put in a sizeable order with diamond obvious reasons those sell all the time and then Excalibur so

Speaker 2 (09:04.972)

Excalibur crossbows. We're gonna have some of those in here. We don't really like to talk about crossbows here though, so Forget it Yeah, I'm trying to think am I missing anything else. I mean we're bringing in The fun one dialed. Mm-hmm. We will have so if anyone locally is listening we will have dialed sites On hand. Yes. I'm stoked. I love the guys at ultra view as well But we got to have her Minnesota boys in the house. So

dialed sites will be here.

as well as we will have the new Nitrix and Nitrix Pro coming from HHA also.

Speaker 1 (09:49.038)

course again another local

Yeah, I mean, I'm still running HHA sites. I'm just saying it's exciting because, you know, it's like the expensive stuff always seems exciting. I don't know why. It's just like you can touch, but you can have for some guys.

Well, and it's hard to sell something you don't have, you know. And again, you know, not really knowing kind of how things were going to pan out with with dialed when they first came along. You know what I mean? Right. You know, everybody really liked the sites. They did run into a few problems that they were very, very good about taking care of and fixing. then.

They've addressed all of those in their latest and greatest, the proof. so I'm shooting that site and I'm loving it. And, you know, speaking of that, I just had a phone call with Scott Bakken over there and we chatted today about a number of different things. So yeah, we're pretty excited to bring those into, because they're, we're basically matching our Victor rubber overmold colors to their colors. So, there was some talk on Archery Talk about how we partnered with Dialed.

Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:04.148)

And I guess you could kind of say that, it's not really a, you know what I mean? It's not like an official partnership in the respect that they're going to be like pushing our product or anything like that. It's just more or less, you know, just relationships and, know, trying to spread, you know, spread the wealth. And so, you know, they've got some of our rest that they'll be putting on some of their bows for, you know, assets and things that they're going to be using on their social media stuff.

And then in turn, we had their sights on our bows at ATA, but that was more or less because they were a sponsor for the North Dakota film that we did called Form the Storm, which it sounds like that film is now slated to launch on February 25th, I believe. Also last Something like that. So kind of a shameless plug there. That was not intended. But Prime is the major sponsor for that film.

currently talking about all the logistics about getting that launched and putting the final touches on it and it's amazing. It's awesome film so look forward to putting that out.

Excited to see the final form of Form the Storm. Saw the first version of it and it looks good so far. There's just a few tweaks and then after that it's gonna be sweet. It'll be super cool. Dialed, I was just gonna say I'm very happy to see. That's honestly why I'm also excited to have their sites in because going back to like what you were saying, we weren't sure where they were gonna go. Being kind of new kid on the block and

Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:41.934)

If they had stuck with the ARKsos, like what it is or was, I mean, they have a good following, but I don't know if it'd still be like that good of a business. Like, I don't know if they'd still be making a lot of money. Cause personally I didn't want nothing to do with them because it just, there was so many different things that they were missing out on for.

At least me, Axis Adjustments was the biggest one and I think that was everyone's complaint. And now on the proof is just like, okay, they truly listened and they did everything that we all asked for. Now it's like, okay, now they're here to play like big time. Like I'll gladly have that in the shop for a high end site. So yeah, I'm super excited for those.

Yeah, and it'll be nice to have, we'll have a little bit of a mix of different colors. We'll have some different pin configurations, a few different mounting options. And then we're currently working on it like a dual display. So it'll be, I don't know, guess I don't know exactly how it's going to work out, but we've got a bunch of bow risers in the house that we're going to chop down and then, you know, make a display that'll have.

a rest on it and then a site on it, you know, so that people can just kind of pick it up, kind of look at it. Check it out. See how they work. And then we will have a number of staff bows here that will have all this equipment on it as well. And, you know, whether we're comfortable allowing certain people to shoot those bows, that may be the case, but at least you'll be able to see it kind of in action and see what they look like.

Right. I, going back, I'm just trying to think of all the other things. mean, we're really not bringing in too many other things other than what we've listed is just, we already have a good inventory right now. And we're also kind of dipping our toes in the water before we really go like, okay, this is what we do need. you know, to Rory's point, you know, let's kind of play the F round and find out. then once we find out, we'll know what we need.

Speaker 2 (14:49.602)

But I am excited for Bear. That new bow is actually pretty nice. And it's weird saying that. Bear always kind of the crap done. But I'm excited just because, again, it's a more affordable bow for more people to get into before they jump to a form or the Expedition. Now, that's a whole different game. The X-Lite series being the, it's like the Magnite or something like that.

Ryzer.

I like to it a meteor bow. Like it's like some material that came from outer space.

Oh, seriously. Rare Earth magnet. Rare Earth bow. It's super lightweight, those are, your flagship high end bows. Bear does have, you know, a flagship high end bow. It's just more people just want to, they make more consumer friendly bows. And I think that's nice, at least for the, those that want to get into it or at least get out of like a youth diamond bow or something like that, you know.

It'll be good for them. So I'm excited to see what we can do with bear and their more affordable accessories.

Speaker 1 (16:04.344)

That hunting public series bow, the camel that's on it, he pointed that out, is pretty money.

Sweet yeah, I love it. I love that they do that you know and Other companies are doing the bottom lands. You know throwback camos it looks good, but They also don't have the like Fredbear Throwback camo that thing just it looks so sweet. I love it. I love it

I love that you're like a kid in a candy store. It's pretty awesome. Because despite everything, the headaches and just being constantly busy, right? Our brains haven't really had too many opportunities to kind of shut off a little bit. We finally did shoot a little bit yesterday. We cleaned up in here and we started flinging some arrows. So that was kind of nice. And try to prioritize that, at least on the daily, just to a little friendly daily competition, just to kind of

give the mind a break and...

Yeah, I mean, was, I, that's why I went and started playing with that bear just cause I had to walk away from the computer staring at the Excel for so long. I'm like, okay, I just, one of those stress level moments too, where I found something else that we've missed in our backend. And I'm like, I got to fix that now. So I'm like, let me just walk around. So play with the new bow. That's why it's exciting. Then,

Speaker 2 (17:31.278)

on this target in the back. I don't know if anyone will see it. I don't think anyone will beat me today. For some reason, I only have four arrows, not five, but almost inside out all four of those Xs. So someone can try me on that.

That's a lot better than I could do right now, I'll tell you that.

Especially when Jeremiah's not here, so I don't have him to go against

Yeah, it's funny. You know you're talking about the talking about the the constant go-go-go Stuff around here and and like I've been trying to get better at prioritizing the larger rocks on the list and then and then taking care of all the little grains of sand after the fact and you know, it's good to do that obviously, but I've

I finally started digging into all the little grains of sand today and it's just like all these emails back and forth and it's you know, it starts with you know, you send out all these emails like 30 of them bam like one after another and then by the time you you get to the last one you go and then you've got a response from every single one So now here we go again you go down the list So it's like so that's what I've been pretty much doing all day long, you know, there's something that there's some orders that You know, I've been kind of waiting

Speaker 1 (18:40.024)

to put in, they're not for dealers, they're for influencers in the industry or people who are really out in the community. so it's important that they have our products on their new equipment, but we have to, it's also, they do get put a little bit on the back burner because we got to focus on our dealers and focus on the big rocks, Just making sure that we've got all these orders for the Victor coming in, like a tidal wave.

And so now every day it's like a new pivot, right? Because it's like, holy, are OK, now we need to do this to make sure that we can supply enough. And then the next day it's like, OK, now we've got to do this to make sure that we can keep up. So it's just been crazy.

Yeah, and you made me think I feel bad for Luke because just before I came out here, I mean, he's been keeping up with the ATA ASAP orders for what we can ship. The victors are, it's going to be a little bit yet, but I guess he didn't grab from that stack for a little while. He just went through it he's like, dude, you have, I think it's like almost, almost or over. can't remember what he said, but either way, close to hundred Pro V's in there.

He's like, dude, you just wiped everything clean. I just built up. He's all mad back there. Like, sorry, dude. But so yeah, we have, I mean, Luke, you know, he's really eating it right now and I feel terrible, but at least he's able to get out here and shoot a little bit too. So he's able to escape the ATA orders. It's an onslaught right now of orders. So it's good, but I feel bad.

you

Speaker 1 (20:03.566)

Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:22.414)

Yeah, and thankfully it's, you know, that's the beauty of this time of year is we do have the, I mean, it's slower relatively speaking, you know what I mean? There's not as much chaos anyway, but still it's still very chaotic in its own way.

Yeah, it's the backend stuff. Like you said, it's all the grains of sand. I yesterday, uh, I mentioned the lease. I'm going to start adding more stuff into our system for, you know, order entry and whatnot. And, uh, I was like, you know, after that, you know, might be able to take a breath back or step back and take a breath. And, uh, she handed me this list of what the girls have compiled on like what's missing on sales orders. And like, you know, I love that because it's like, when I'm doing it, like,

The last import was like the 12,000 line items or whatever when we were at the show. It's like, I'm not going to get everything, but man, you get that list and it's like, thank you for finding that. I also, dang it. Now I have to go and fix all these other things, but yeah, it's constant backend stuff.

Yeah, it's difficult for us. This is less about the Pro Shop, but more on the manufacturing side of things is that between the aero rest, the bow strings, and the stabilizers, and all the different colors, it's just a ridiculous amount of options. I don't envy that part of your job, having to go through those spreadsheets and looking at all of that. And even just like the

the order form we got from dialed, you know what I mean? Digging through that and you're just like, there's so many line items for all the different options, it's overwhelming.

Speaker 2 (22:05.134)

Dude, yeah, I think I remember back when I, the one export I did was like 15,000 line items. And I was like, wow, that's pretty big. And now when I do an export, it's like 30, 40,000. I'm like, dude, this is, this is ass. I'm going to say it. You got so many products with the pro shop coming onto it as well. And that reminds me, I need to enter. So we did do all these, you know, fun orders for the pro shop.

But now that means more UPCs to enter into the system.

Yeah, the push-up compounds that.

god yeah, yeah, because you're talking eight different SKUs for one brand.

And the arrow customizer, all the different vein options, knock options.

Speaker 2 (22:53.282)

That's on my list of things to do as well. Update that because we have the cool new Victory Arrows coming in. Nice. Yeah, that'll be fun.

Yeah, this is lots, lots of stuff going on. And honestly, I'm pretty excited about this new building. The location is way better than the other spot. getting from one side of the building to the other is not as big a chore. Although my, my Apple watch is struggling to adjust to the lack of running around that I do now as opposed to before. It's like,

You didn't even do half of your workout today.

Well, yeah, right now, again, especially for us, we're sitting on the computer. It's like, don't do any walking, but yeah, this building is like, it's still big enough to where you and I can just text each other because we're far enough apart. you know, close enough to where if we just want to run down the hallway, we can. It's nice. Yeah. Want to get into the fun stuff?

Yeah, well, so before we do that real quick, I just want to talk a little bit about, know, because I'm sure some people are going to be asking, okay, when are we opening? What's the plan with all of that? As of now, there's a talk of a soft open on February 21st, but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (24:17.838)

We're trying to decide whether that's going to be 100 % open to the public or if that's going to be something different because we're, we won't have officially have any staff in the pro shop until. J D you know, in, into March. so then it's like, but we, but we want to accelerate and get the range open still because we want to try to do a league like a, like a three or is it a three spot Vegas league or.

Mark.

Speaker 2 (24:47.188)

You three-spot Vegas.

What we talked about but at ATA we were sitting there brainstorming some stuff and Glenn was with us and he had some really good ideas on how we could Like do a money-style shoot, but we could handicap it. So everybody has equal opportunity We just need to get a panel of individuals together to kind of try to determine what what's fair and and maybe what's not but We want to try to get the range open Sooner than later so that people can start coming in and shooting and then our members can get that 24-7

shooting going on right away while we continue to try to build out the Pro Shop. And then like I said, Darrell, he won't start until mid-March. And so we may be taking Boerwijk by appointment for a short period of time until that happens. But we're still kind of speculating that a little bit. But I would say worst case scenario, mid-March.

Yeah, yeah, I'd say mid-march for like full bore like we're going. Yeah all the way I did kind of forget about that little garage door deal Because we're almost to the point of 24 7 access. I mean Yes, and no, but half the stuff could just move and we're there. Yeah But I can't forget right now. They'd have full access to our office as well. Yeah. Yeah Yeah, it'll be a

a little bit yet till that gets sealed off.

Speaker 1 (26:09.922)

Yeah, all would take is one day and we could have this range cleared and ready. Easily. But to your point, it's just a matter of, you know, there's a major security thing that needs to get taken care of before that can happen. And it's kind of a, big door that we have to put in. That's kind of a custom deal. And there's, you know, it's a little bit up in the air exactly how long that's going to take because we're going to have to.

fill in some gaps on it and I don't know, I won't get too deep into that but just to give some people an idea of when we're going to open and what we're going to do and just so people, just to familiarize some people with our location it is 809 West Main Street in Anoka, Minnesota, 55303. Yeah, that will ensure you get here 100 % because if you type that into Google or into Waze or anything else it'll bring you here.

Thanks for saying the correct address.

Speaker 2 (27:06.176)

Yeah, we won't even mention the other address that someone thinks is the address because it will not bring you here.

Yeah, because well, yeah, so they put some overpasses on Highway 2 and to make it, you know, the traffic flow work. And since they did that, like semantics of the address changed slightly. So our address that's on our tax paperwork and everything is one thing, but then what it is in like all of the major map applications is slightly different. And so I don't want anybody to end up two blocks up the road here by a hotel when they should be here.

Yeah.

in our building,

Yeah, for the local guys that are listening, if you go past it and see the sign, don't fret. You can just take the next exit, come back on the back road.

Speaker 1 (27:55.852)

Thirst and exit, you get up to the roundabout on Greenhaven.

right by our friends, Vista Outdoor. We're even closer now. Which is now Kinetic Group, whatever. And then if they exit early by the golf course, then you just kind of sneak in the normal way. That's how I come in here every day now. It's really not too hard to get to once you figure it out. But it is a little squirrely.

Yeah. yeah, but as you're going through no code, just keep your eyes on the south side of, what is it? The south east side.

that way around the north. Look at it on a little aerial.

Yes. Wow. Yes.

Speaker 2 (28:38.936)

can grab my compass real quick.

Yes, you're right. We are on the north side of Highway 10 and you'll see we got a big sign out there That will show it so pretty not too bad to find right off right off Highway 10 and Yeah, so we'll keep you all posted more on the details as they unfold It will try to we'll try to give a little snippet each week So that everybody can be kind of up-to-date on how that's gonna work. So

Yeah, I think we can move on to the next part of the shiny objects and that's whatever, whatever your current shiny object is. mean, we talked about the obvious thing, but you got anything else that's kind of on, on your list?

My list personal shiny objects. Yeah, I'm ready to rip into them. I got like three that just ripped it in my mind Just like that they're Holy ADHD No that the top two now the third one back holy hell Three shiny objects one that's thinking of it because the bear

I have an opportunity to finally get a bear recurve bow. I still don't know if I want to pay as much as being offered, but 50 pound recurve. I might do it. We'll see. Should go sell some things to get it, but it looks sweet. But I do want to say lightly, I'll probably say it for another one. I'm excited for Turkey season. We're getting close. Yes, sir. But we should almost get like.

Speaker 2 (30:19.948)

maybe a whole episode of this next one. As you mentioned earlier, New Mexico out of state tags are starting to pop up for, I mean, some application periods like today, the 31st, Wyoming just closed. So too late when you hear this.

But you can still get preference points in the snow.

July. So, yeah, it's application season. So this is when we start squirreling money from wherever we can and just put it away. that. Yeah, that works too.

use credit card.

strategically do it so that it can be on a side out of mind if you don't get the tag. It's not exactly refunded and then you don't get.

Speaker 2 (31:06.734)

No interest, yeah. That is probably the ultimate way of doing it. But yeah, it is application season for majority of other states. we've got, it's crazy to think, like I feel like January took forever, but here we are, it's almost February. And that means March is like when I start blowing money like crazy on all the out of state stuff. So we'll see.

And then we've been invited on a few different things where I'm like, yep, I'd love to, but I don't think I'll have the time. So, but yeah, I guess those are kind of my current shiny things. I'm just excited for out of state tags, you know, spending money, but also probably getting it refunded. So it doesn't matter, but still still applying. I'm ready for Turkey season and who knows? I might have a recurve at some point finally. That's cool. Yeah. I'm excited.

It looks sweet.

I have like five recurves and I don't ever shoot them. My neighbor actually makes recurves. He's got the whole jig and everything. He's trying to sell it to me, which I'll most likely buy it from him because he just wants like a hundred bucks for all the stuff. like, I'll show you how to do it too. And he knows how to make phlegm twist strings and all that. Really? Yeah. But, so I have like one day he just brought over all these recurves.

Speaker 1 (32:32.214)

to me and you well you moved them you had the pleasure of moving them all over here but my my thing is is that i don't if i'm gonna do it i'm gonna do it like i'm not gonna pick up a compound i mean i will again someday but i'm not gonna go back and forth like if i pick up a recurve that's it that's what i'm doing well if you talk to josh wells about how about how much fun that is or or maybe

Yeah, that's how them.

Speaker 2 (32:50.446)

They're telling me I should do that this year. That's cheaper than the compound.

Speaker 1 (33:01.356)

David Brinker, ask him how that's working out for him. He's got a pot, well I think he's taking a break from the podcast, but he, I think he used to work for Sitka at one point. But anyway, he bounces kind of back and forth between the two and he's admitted his struggles with that. And Joshua.

I don't know who that is.

Speaker 2 (33:26.638)

I think I remember listening to a podcast with him. Yeah him talking about that

trying to remember what his podcast is called now.

Dude, I totally listened. He talked about running a hunt with a recurve and unsuccessful. Yeah, it's tough with no phone.

Speaker 2 (33:49.708)

Yeah, I don't know. I'll...

I say it's like altitude or things and I think he also owns peak

you

Speaker 2 (33:58.979)

really?

date you know they make the camping here and so

How I know our galley.

Yeah, the Altitude Show podcast with Dave Brinker.

I listened to that episode. He goes into it on one of them. Somehow came across the altitude show and was like, this is nice.

Speaker 1 (34:18.188)

And then.

Speaker 1 (34:24.13)

Yeah, he was at sick and then.

Speaker 1 (34:31.085)

He was on the mountain tough podcast and had a real serious real serious conversation, but I See I don't really see much out there about him having involvement with peak but somebody I was or I was talking to I think Damon and Then I saw that like if you go to his Instagram page, it says something about Oops something about that

see if I can find it here.

I cut a lot of the cell, but...

Speaker 1 (35:09.366)

I don't know him personally, but we have a lot of mutual friends.

Speaker 2 (35:16.79)

Looks like he has a Madsinger profile.

My bad, not peak. Peaks equipment.

Yeah, that is the one.

But anyway, so back to it. Yeah, my shiny object, man.

So much going on, you know what I mean? And yeah, this is the time when we start looking at what's going to be, what's the upcoming season, right? TAC, which one am I going to go to? Which ones am I going to apply for? Boundary Waters permits came out two days ago. And so like, if you don't get on that on the day, you're like kind of already F'd. And so I missed.

Speaker 1 (36:05.932)

They opened it opened up at 10 or 9 a.m. And I think I and I forgot and got went in there like 1030 And I managed to get a couple of access permits not exactly on the days that I wanted But very close to the days that I want So just grabbed a couple of those but again just like in a in a panic like trying to plan out Okay, what would be what would be my entry permit day for bear hunting?

just gonna say are they during hunting season?

And then I picked one in the spring, like around May, to try to get out there just right around ice out for lake trout. So I'm hoping to, I want to get my daughter up there so bad, like she would have a blast.

think that's the real issue.

She would have a blast, but you know, again, it would be kind of her first last year we did. We did like a little camping trip in a tent and it went good. It was just car camping. You know what I mean? And it, went well. She had fun doing that, but it just like rained the whole weekend and the weather is kind of crappy. And so that's my ultimate fear is that the first trip she goes on up there, we just get terrible weather and then talk about.

Speaker 2 (37:15.022)

Dude, can be tough. Oddly enough-
