Southern Ground Hunting - Believing In The Efficiency Of Observation Sits with Jace Allen

Show Notes

The words "Observation Sits" get thrown around a lot, but for a lot of us patience isn't our greatest virtue. We talk a lot about being aggressive, and there's definitely a time and place for that. However, sometimes it pays off to know where you should be throwing aggressive moves at. Jace Allen joins us this week to discuss how much more efficient you can be by throwing a couple of sits in an area just to observe what the deer are doing before going in guns blazing and potentially blowing out an entire area. Jace had an incredible season and he attributes his success to being mobile and having the ability to play it safe when necessary, and go in for a kill with confidence knowing exactly how big bucks are moving. Now, it's important to note that Jace is from Missouri and much of what he talks about in the conversation revolves around having destination food sources like crops. This chat turns into a brainstorming session in parts where Parker and Adam try to draw parallels that can be taken from Jace's situation and applied to someone hunting down in the south.
