In today's episode I have my good buddy Adam Weaver on. Adam is one of the best turkey hunters I know. I've been turkey hunting with Adam for a little over 4 years and he has taught me a ton about turkey behavior, calling and turkey hunting in general. Today Adam and I discussed a multitude of things. We talk a lot about pre-season scouting and what that looks like for him. We discuss locating gobblers, "figuring out what they're doing" in the week leading up to the season, habitat types and types of sign to look for and much more. The main focus of today's episode is a brief overview on tactics. We talk about once you locate that gobbler on opening day, what you actually have to do to close the deal. Adam talks about calling conservatively and utilizing woodsmanship to attain success rather than hammering on a box call or mouth call.. and what that looks like for him.
