On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan talks about if finding a shed can have hunting strategies implications in the fall. Dan talks about a recent shed hunting trip where he found a couple shed in different locations throughout the farm and why he thinks the deer where in those locations. He discusses the terrain features, food sources, bedding areas, travel routes, and what finding a shed in these locations actually means. Then he shares a story from 2018 about using a trail camera picture from 2017, finding a deer shed on a food source the next spring, and using a trail camera picture in September to triangulate a hit list buck core area. Dan eventually moved in to a predominant terrain feature to kill him.
