This week on the Southern Ground Hunting podcast we're kicking off turkey episodes with an in depth look at some of the biology of the wild turkey from Chris Creed. Chris has spent many years studying the turkey and giving seminars for hunters across the US. Today he's covering several topics, answering questions like: How well can a turkey see? How's their hearing? Can they actually smell anything?
We also get to hear some of his thoughts on woodsmanship, looking at things studying the crop and gizzards from harvested gobblers to find out what food sources they're keying in on the most at that time.
