On this episode of The Western Rookie Dan talks to 3 “brothers” from Wyoming about all the things they love to chase in their great state. Tanner Varndell, Chase Galley and Colton Jones join Dan to talk about everything from hunting antelope on the plains to chasing high country mule deer.
Chase has always dreamt of filming his hunts and to try and make it "big time". Recently Chase’s dreams have shifted to helping others chase their outdoor adventures. Chase loves to bow hunt elk, and feels that there’s nothing more exciting than hearing bulls bugle in the morning.
Tanner gets his kicks by chasing high-country mule deer. Whether he is the one making the stock or just watching the deer to see what they do, finding and locating the giant old grey ghosts of the alpines is like a drug to him.
Colton is the man behind the video and photography. Colton is an experienced filmmaker and photographer. He has traveled to Japan to compete in competitions and is an avid outdoorsman. Colton had always wanted to start hunting big game but it wasn’t until he met Tanner and Chase while working at Sportsman’s that he truly got hooked. Tanner, Chase and Colton hope that their passion for the outdoors helps others get the ambition to tie up their boots, throw on a pack and experience life in the outdoors.
