On this episode of The Wisconsin Sportsman, Pierce is joined by Jake Arvold to dive into the importance of fatherhood, controlled risks, and setting good examples for the next generation. Jake is a Wisconsin-native host of the Experience More Podcast, and creator of the 1st Phorm Outdoors division of 1st Phorm. In this episode, Jake shares his story of growing up on a farm in Northern Wisconsin with a dad who made sure he was learning through doing. He tells the story of a solo campout that lead to him showing he could handle his first elk hunt, how he transitioned into a western elk guide, to a gym owner, to 1st Phorm employee before pivoting and creating 1st Phorm Outdoors. He recaps the story of how he punched his tag on an awesome buck while mid-diaper change with his two year old daughter, and some things he's taken from his father to incorporate into his own journey as a father.
