Show Notes
On this episode of The Wisconsin Sportsman, Pierce is joined by Alec Bekkers of the Wisconsin chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers to discuss the state of Wisconsin's public lands without the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund. The guys dive into what lead to the vote to not renew the Knowles-Nelson fund, and what that means as we head into primary election season in Wisconsin. Topics covered include: the need to take care of our public lands and engage with various conservation orgs, volunteering time and resources to help out with cleanup days and restoration, the increasing prevalence of data centers and solar farms popping up around the state, and the unfortunate reality that even in Wisconsin, our public lands are under threat because of commercial farming. All that and more in this week's episode!
