This week on the Missouri Woods & Water Podcast we bring you our first MWW Classic episode by taking you waaaaay back to episode #6 in June of 2022 with Mr. Scott Wilper, owner of Wilper Custom Calls.
We get into all sorts of fun turkey chatter with Scott. Scott gives a few awesome stories of some hunts he remembers well including one that features a gobbler with 5 beards. In another story, he talks about staying persistent all the way through the season. We also talk about what goes into a good call and some national and regional calling competitions Scott enters to test his skills with some of the best turkey and owl callers in the world. Finally, we talk about how difficult it is for turkey to survive in our state with all of the predator and weather concerns facing them as they begin to nest.
