In this episode I have Shane Simpson from the "Calling all Turkeys" youtube channel on the show. Shane is a phenomenal turkey hunter, championship caller, and has been self filming his turkey hunts since he was a kid. Shane and I discussed the importance of realism in your calling from multiple aspects. We discussed how it is important to not only sound realistic, but to call with realistic tendencies. We also talk about knowing when to call, and when not to call, to a gobbler. We discussed calling from realistic locations to replicate a real hen, and how to traverse the woods more stealthy. We touch on the unsung art of woodsmanship, the importance of it and how it can be applied to your set ups when turkey hunting.
