Tick Safety with Expert Dr. Timothy McDermott

Show Notes

This week is an important topic for all outdoor enthusiast in Ohio. Andrew was able to sit down and talk with Dr. Timothy McDermott of The Ohio State University, to discuss ticks in Ohio. Over the past couple decades, the number of species of ticks has increased to the current day known number of 5. Just a few years ago it was 1, then 2, and now 5! Each carries slightly different attributes, disease, and issues for outdoorsmen and women, as well as live stock, wildlife, and more.

Paul just got home from his week long trip to Nashville for the National Wild Turkey Federation conference. He recaps some of his favorite parts of the experience including the calling competitions, trade show, and more. While Paul was deep in the turkey life, Andrew continues to try and figure out how to use a mouth call, and patiently waits to get to the woods for some whitetail shed hunting. Have a great week and enjoy!
